MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player within his part of the Latin mainstream. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca is the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming single Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo has an instrumental background. Both his parents and brother are musicians. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. As a child, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. Though his original career plan was that of veterinarian but his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with a Cuban. The lessons transformed his life forever.
